must see places

Among the 7,107 islands, of which about 4,000 are inhabited, here are just few of the places you must see.

Bantayan Island, Cebu
A wonderful small Island off the northwest coast of Cebu, currently Cebu's semi-secret little Island Paradise (small numbers of travelers over the years have slowly been putting the word out) located just off the northwest tip of Cebu's mainland.

Largely un developed and definitely not over crowded and over priced with the commercialization of some other Islands; it’s a perfect place for those seeking peace & quiet, blue skies & clean air, with spectacular turquoise water & great white sand beaches, along with some of the most beautiful sunrise & sunsets in the world!

El Nido, Palawan

El Nido, being one of the most diverse ecosystem in the country, is protected for its unique flora and fauna, and pristine geologic formations.

From the towering marble cliffs and enchanting lagoons to its100 white sandy beaches and lush jungle, El Nido is one of the top tourist destinations in Palawan, which is often referred to as the Philippines' Last Frontier. In the November-December 2007 issue of the National Geographic Traveller's magazine, Palawan was chosen as one of the best travel destinations in the world, and particularly, it recommended El Nido.

Boracay Island
Years ago, Boracay Island was a well-guarded secret, almost possessively so that only a few knew of its existence.
It was only in the 70s when, it is said, a foreign movie crew accidentally "discovered" this island paradise.

In 2007, Boracay island topped the list of the World’s Most Popular Beach according to Yahoo! Travel.

Tinuy-an Falls ,Surigao del Sur

Located at the southeastern coast of Mindanao facing the Pacific Ocean, Bislig is 158 kms south of Butuan, 152 kms south of Tandag City – the capital of Surigao del Sur, and 208 kilometers northeast of Davao City.

Tinuy-an Falls is a spectacular multi-tiered falls, three levels of which can easily be seen while a fourth one is hidden from view. It rises majestically to a height of a four-story building and a breathtaking width of 95 meters – said to be the widest in the country. It is nestled in a tropical rainforest with towering, century-old trees and exotic flora and fauna surrounding it.

Hear the thundering sound it makes and feel the mist hitting on your face.

Hundred Islands National Park

It is located in Alaminos City, Pangasinan. The islands (124 at low tide and 123 at high tide) are scattered along Lingayen Gulf and cover an area of 18.44 square kilometers (4,557 acres). They are believed to be about two million years old. Only three of them have been developed for tourists: Governor Island, Quezon Island, and Children's Island.

The waters of the Hundred Islands is home to coral reefs which shelter, feed and protect sea creatures in the park. They also aid the islets in protecting the city's coast from the impact of waves.

These are just a few of the numerous magnificient places that would enthrall you if you would travel around the country Philippines.
